PhD Position F/M Modeling and Simulation of 3D Cardiac Hemodynamics in Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome

Le descriptif de l’offre ci-dessous est en Anglais

Type de contrat : CDD

Niveau de diplôme exigé : Bac + 5 ou équivalent

Fonction : Doctorant

Contexte et atouts du poste

The objective of this research project is to develop a mathematical model and associated numerical methods for the simulation of cardiac hemodynamics in pathological scenarios, such as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), and to numerically assess different surgical options. This work will be carried out within the framework of the MEDITWIN project, which involves a collaboration between the COMMEDIA project-team and Dassault Systèmes.

Mission confiée

The PhD project proposes to address this problem via kinematic uncoupling apporach and a reduced modeling of the valve dynamics. The external circulation will be modeled via a closed-loop lumped parameter models. A advection-difussion model will also be considered for oxygen transport.
