About the research centre or Inria department

The Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée center counts 34 research teams as well as 8 support departments. The center's staff (about 500 people including 320 Inria employees) is made up of scientists of different nationalities (250 foreigners of 50 nationalities), engineers, technicians and administrative staff. 1/3 of the staff are civil servants, the others are contractual agents. The majority of the center’s research teams are located in Sophia Antipolis and Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes. Four teams are based in Montpellier and two teams are hosted in Bologna in Italy and Athens. The Center is a founding member of Université Côte d'Azur and partner of the I-site MUSE supported by the University of Montpellier.”

Assignment

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher or an experienced Research Engineer to join the Titane research team (https://team.inria.fr/titane/) at INRIA Sophia Antipolis Research Center in South of France. We are offering a 1 year-renewable contract. 

You must have a strong expertise in geometry processing, 3D meshing, shape analysis and statistics, as well as excellent C++ and Python programming skills. Being familiar with a 3D modeling and rendering software such as Maya, 3DSMax or Houdini and an experience in physically based rendering would be a nice-to-have. 

During this postdoc you will be in charge of developing robust and efficient methods to automatically analyze, simplify and parameterize complex 3D models of everyday objects. You can work autonomously once the objectives are clearly defined. You also have great team working skills.

Remuneration

Gross Salary: 2653 € per month
