About the research centre or Inria department
The Inria Saclay-Île-de-France Research Centre was established in 2008. It has developed as part of the Saclay site in partnership with Paris-Saclay University and with the Institut Polytechnique de Paris .
The centre has 40 project teams , 32 of which operate jointly with Paris-Saclay University and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris; Its activities occupy over 600 people, scientists and research and innovation support staff, including 44 different nationalities.
Assignment
The PhD will be in quantum information theory.
Main activities
The PhD candidat will look for new witnesses of nonclassicality of quantum systems, based on experiementally measurable quantities. In particular, the project will consider phonon/photon systems.
Skills
The applicant should hold a master degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field.

This position is likely to be assigned to a zone à régime restrictif (ZRR), as defined in decree in decree n°2011-1425 on the protection protection of the nation's scientific technical potential (PPST). Authorization to access a zone is issued by the head of the after a favorable ministerial opinion, as as defined in the decree of July 03 July 2012, relating to the PPST. An unfavorable ministerial for a position assigned to a ZRR would result in the cancellation of the recruitment.
