Contexte et atouts du poste

INRIA Paris is opening a 2-year post-doctoral research position on noise robust quantum machine learning algorithms. This research is funded through a partnership with the start-up Alice & Bob and Naval Group. The work will be supervised by Harold Ollivier (https://h-oll.github.io) and will be performed in collaboration with Alice & Bob's theory team lead by Dr. Jeremie Guillaud. The successful applicant will be integrated in the Paris Center for Quantum Computing vibrant ecosystem.

Mission confiée

The project's goal is to develop and/or adapt various NISQ machine learning algorithms for benefitting of the noise robustness of Alice & Bob's cat-qubits. The expected impact is to be able to run successfully significantly larger instances of these algorithms. The work will comprise both theoretical and simulation approaches to the development and performance assesments of proposed algorithms.

Principales activités

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environemnt comprising hardware developers, theory researchers and potential end-users of quantum algorithms.

Compétences

We encourage applications from early career researchers in quantum information processing interested in one of the following sub-topics: NISQ algorithms, machine learning, physical implementations, noise mitigation / error correction.
