For a better knowledge of the proposed research subject :

Heavy-tailed optimization algorithms have been increasingly popular in the last few years. The objective of this postdoc position is to extend the current theory and methodology in terms of more pertinent theoretical analysis with respect to the practical observations and in terms of ameliorating the complexities of the resulting algorithms.

Collaboration :
The recruited person will be in connection with the researchers in the Sierra project team.

Responsibilities :
The person recruited is responsible for conducting research, writing scientific articles, and conducting scientific experiments and will take initiatives for bringing up new research directions.

Steering/Management :
The person recruited will be in charge of scientific research.

Principales activités

Main activities (5 maximum) :

  • Conduct theoretical analysis
  • Design experimental platforms
  • Write and submit scientific articles

Additional activities (3 maximum) :

  • Serve the scientific community by reviewing papers
  • Disseminate the outputs of the research in top-tier conferences
